2008 Animal Trust Fund Grants
Placer County Animal Services, a Division of Health and Human Services, is offering a new funding opportunity involving project grants from the Placer County Trust Fund for Animals. The goal is to use the trust funds for projects and programs which will benefit the animals and pet owners of Placer County.
The Placer County Trust Fund for Animals was established in 1991 to enable the receipt of personal donations to create a more humane environment for local animals. There are five (5) fund categories where the public can designate funds in addition to the Edna Robinson Estate Trust Fund. Grants will be made from among the following funds:
Tahoe Vista Shelter Fund
- needs of the County Animal Shelter in Tahoe Vista
Auburn Shelter Fund
- needs of the County Animal Shelter in Auburn
Greatest Need Fund
- greatest need as identified by Placer County Animal Services
Advertising and Education Fund
- advertising and education related to Placer County Animal Services programs
Spay and Neuter Fund
- spay and neuter activities
Edna Robinson Estate Trust Fund
- to be used for housing, food, disposal, and the care of sick dogs, cats, and other small animals.
Grant proposals must explain how the proposed activities will fit within the goals of the applicable fund category.
