We offer the full spectrum of adult mental health and substance abuse services including rehabilitative, out-patient and day treatment, and in-patient and residential programs. Client support is also available through housing, employment, recreation, and self-help programs. To meet the needs of clients having both substance abuse and behavioral health problems, a wide variety of out-patient alcohol and drug abuse services are also available directly through the County and through contract in-patient and residential facilities. We also offer a special free service for seniors living at home, Senior Peer Counseling. Services include:
- Adult Mental Health Services Programs, including therapeutic intervention, case management and support, skill development, medication, and employment services
- Senior Peer Counseling, a free and confidential service where county seniors receive weekly visits from counselors who are their peers, and who are trained to discuss mature-adult issues like grief, health difficulties, retirement or relocation.
- Substance Abuse Treatment Programs, including services to encourage self-help, and out-client and residential programs.
- In-Home Supportive Services Program, to provide older and disabled adults and children with domestic and personal care services which allow them to stay in their own homes and live their lives safely and with dignity.
- ACCESS - Adult, Child & Community Emergency Services Systems, for at-risk children and adults in emergencies and crises, and to report child and elder abuse. This is a 24-hour service.
- Adult Protective Services and Public Guardian, a program to protect older and dependent adults from abuse and neglect.
