Childhood Lead Poisoning Prevention Program (CLPPP)

Placer County is committed to the goal of eliminating elevated blood lead levels in children. Many children are exposed to lead in the home through lead-based paint and everyday objects. Lead poisoning can cause learning disabilities, behavioral problems, and, at very high levels, seizures, coma, and even death. Children under the age of 6 are at greatest risk.
