Medicaid Coverage Expansion (MCE)
Placer County MCE is a health insurance program for eligible Placer County residents.
Eligibility
- Adult between ages of 19 and 64 years
- Single or a married couple with no minor children
- Income that does not exceed 100% FPL:
- $937 per month for single adult
- $1261 per month for a couple.
- U.S. Citizen or can provide proof of Legal Permanent Status for 5 years or more.
- Can own a car, home or other property
Services
- A primary care “medical home,” including diagnosis and treatment, as well as preventive services
- Medically necessary prescription medications, laboratory tests, and radiologic services (e.g., x-rays)
- Referrals to specialists when necessary
- Inpatient hospitalization if needed
- Emergency care, including limited dental services
- Limited inpatient and outpatient mental health services

- No Cost. No premiums or co-pays.
