Tobacco Prevention Program

Mission & Goals

The mission of the Placer County Tobacco Prevention Program is to reduce the impact of tobacco on Placer County residents.
Program goals include the following:

  • Reduce exposure to second-hand smoke
  • Counter pro-tobacco influences
  • Reduce availability of tobacco products to minors
  • Support the enforcement of tobacco laws and policies
  • Educate Placer County residents regarding tobacco issues
  • Build assets to mitigate the impact of tobacco on our community

Funding

The Tobacco Prevention Program is funded in 3-year cycles through the California Tobacco Control Program
