Public Pools and Spas

The Consumer Protection team plays a large role in protection of public health and safety in public Recreational Water Pools and Spas. We inspect over 500 facilities that have multiple pools and spas.  We inspect both year-round pools and spas, as well as seasonal pools and spas.  Our inspections cover a wide range of issues from construction, water chemistry, to operations.

If you would like more information on a particular facility that we inspect, please contact us. (530) 745-2300.

In addition to the inspection of Public Pools and Spas, we also investigate complaints regarding these facilities.  If you need to file a complaint with our office, please see our complaints page.

Please see our Forms, Fees, Applications page for useful, required information.
