Certified Farmers Market

Certified Farmers Markets (CFM's) are markets where local farmers can sell their value rated product to the public.

The reference for guidelines in this program is Section Section 113742 of California Retail Food Law.

Certified Farmers Markets within Placer County are allowed to provide prepared foods only if necessary permits are obtained and applications are submitted to Placer County Environmental Health.

Certified Farmers Markets may also have Food Sampling available to customers. There are certain Food Sampling Guidelines to follow.
