TFF Food Safety Class
Placer County Environmental Health offers a food safety class for Temporary Food Facility (TFF) Event Coordinators. This class does not offer any certification in food safety. It is an optional training class for Event Organizers. Event Organizers that have completed the TFF class receive a 50% discount on required Environmental Health fees. Discount is given only if a completed packet is turned in two (2) weeks prior to the event. Discount status is only good for two years. The TFF class must be retaken every two (2) years to obtain discount.
TFF classes are filled on a "first come, first served basis". TFF classes are free to Event Coordinators. This office does allow food vendors to attend the TFF class. However space is limited and seating goes to the Event Organizers first. To sign up, please contact Environmental Health at (530) 745-2300. Our full contact information is here.
Upon request, and upon staff availability, this office may provide individual TFF food safety classes for Event Organizers and their vendors, if the event has 15 or more participating vendors. Please contact this office and speak to your District Specialist for more information.
