Human Services and Public Assistance
We provide a variety of public assistance programs to needy and disadvantaged families and individuals in Placer County. The Placer County CalWORKs program will assist county residents seeking a job. We offer job-hunting skills, labor market information, and information on job opportunities.
The primary goal of the other programs listed below is to allow needy persons to live their lives with dignity and self-respect by providing resources to meet the basic needs of food, clothing, shelter and medical care, when such persons are not supported by their own means, by their relatives or friends, or by other public or private institutions.
