Assessment Appeals Rights

If you do not agree with the assessed value of your property, you can request an assessment review by contacting the Placer County Assessor's Office at telephone number (530) 889-4300 before January 1, of the current tax year.

You also have the right to file an application for reduction in assessment with the Placer County Assessment Appeals Board during the period from July 2 to November 30, inclusive, of the current tax year.
