Comprehensive Annual Financial Reports
The Placer County Comprehensive Annual Financial Report provides both an overview as well as details of the County's financial transactions for the prior two years. This award-winning publication has everything you could possibly want to know about the County's financial concerns divided in three main sections--
Introduction: Contains a narrative overview of the economic conditions and outlook and a summary of the County's major initiatives and accomplishments, organizational structure and elected and appointed leadership.
Financial: Contains the Independent Auditor's Report, the Management's Discussion and Analysis (a lively narrative with highlights of the financials), the Basic Financial Statements, Notes to the Basic Financial Statements, Required Supplementary Information, and the Combining and Individual Fund Statements and Schedules.
Statistical: Reports on a variety of statistics in 10-year increments to place the County's financial activity in the context of the larger financial, demographic and social make-up.
The CAFR is audited by an independent CPA firm and is the primary source for independent and objective financial information about the County.
