Celebrating Filming in Placer County
Filming in Placer County was the focus of three segments on Ch. 10’s Sacramento news program “Morning Blend”- including a stop at California’s highest bridge, the Foresthill Bridge - to discuss the iconic movie “XXX” car stunt shot there. Media Personality and reporter Mark S. Allen spoke with Beverly Lewis, Director of the Placer-Lake Tahoe Film Office, and Gary Davis, veteran director and celebrated stunt coordinator, about why Placer County has been so popular for filming. One big reason - the elevation changes from 90’ to over 9000’ within a 90 minute drive across the county, providing a lot of location options in close proximity. Clips from some of the scores of productions filmed in the county are featured.

It premieres on Sunday, August 13th at 10|9c, and again on August 18th on the Food Network Channel. Guy and his family’s first stop on the road trip is Lake Tahoe’ s North Shore where Guy's family fuel up for a day of mountain biking with some decadent Belgian waffles at Euro Snack.
