Supervisor F. C. "Rocky" Rockholm was elected to the Placer County Board of Supervisors in November 2006. He was sworn in as Supervisor, District 1 on January 8, 2007. He represents and portions of Roseville.

Prior to his service on the Board of Supervisors in 1998 he was appointed to the Roseville Planning Commission. Rocky was first elected to the Roseville City Council in November 2000 and served two years as Mayor Pro Tem prior to being sworn in as Mayor on November 26, 2002. He was again the highest vote recipient in the November 2004 election and served the first two years of his term as Mayor Pro Tem before being sworn in as Mayor of Roseville in November 2006.

Rocky has lived and worked in the Roseville/South Placer area for over 30 years. He worked for the City of Roseville for 15 years as a Police Officer and was promoted in 1992 to Sergeant until his retirement in 1996. He then worked as Security Program Manager for Hewlett-Packard’s Roseville site until retiring in October 2002.

Rocky earned a Bachelor’s of Public Administration in 1990 and a Master’s of Public Administration in 1993 from the University of San Francisco.

Rocky currently serves on the Criminal Justice Policy Committee, Flood Control & Water Conservation District Board of Directors, Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO), Sacramento Area Council of Governments (SACOG), South Placer Regional Wastewater Authority – JPA, and Western Placer Waste Management Authority.

Rocky and his wife Dorothy consider being a grandparent their favorite hobby. They are the proud parents of 7 children, grandparents to 32 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
