Welcome,

Robert WeygandtA lot is happening in District 2 and throughout the county. Visiting my website is a great way to learn about issues I am working on and to share with me your concerns and ideas. I encourage you to visit it regularly.

My commitment remains the same today as it was the first day I took office in 1995: to maximize the value of county services and provide the leadership needed to help guide one of the fastest-growing counties in California.

Our county has been facing severe financial difficulties as has been the nation. I am working with your other supervisors to preserve jobs and services until our economy fully rebounds. The careful long-range planning that we have followed during recent years is paying off in that, so far we have not suffered as greatly as many other counties in California. I am determined to continue the progress we have made during my 19 years on the Board. I pledge to continue working hard on behalf of my constituents. I'm privileged to represent District 2 and thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in a county I am grateful to call home.

Biography

Robert M. Weygandt, a member of the Placer County Board of Supervisors since 1995, lives on the same foothills ranch in rural Lincoln where he grew up. He represent the western portion of the county, including Lincoln, Sheridan, and the western portions of Rocklin and Roseville. He has lived in Placer County for over 50 years and was recently re-elected to his sixth four-year term.

After graduating from Lincoln High School, I earned bachelor's and master's degrees in finance and management from the University of Southern California (go Trojans!). I was vice president, chief financial officer and part owner of WECO Aerospace Systems, an aircraft repair facility based in Lincoln. My other past experience includes service as a county planning commissioner, member of the county economic development board and community college instructor.

Today, I am avidly involved in Placer Legacy—a program to protect land, water and open space within the county. I am an avid outdoorsman and admit to being a fanatic fly fisherman.

I have a son Eric and a daughter Stephanie who both work in Placer County. I am a proud grandpa—with granddaughters Haley, Sydney, Madison and grandsons Braden,Tanner, and Blake.

  • Advice the Board of Supervisors and to other county decision-making bodies, officials, and staff based upon this information.
