Grant Applications Still Being Accepted

Placer County Health and Human Services Strength and Asset Promotion program is seeking applications from schools and community organizations interested in developing programs that promote and foster healthy youth development to prevent the use of alcohol and other drugs. Programs must promote safe environments, building positive relationships, youth driven activities or meaningful work. Funding is available through the state Friday Night Live program.
Applications must address building positive partnerships between adults and youth. Additionally, it should define how activities will provide opportunities for meaningful participation by youth in a caring, supportive, and fun atmosphere. Grant activities may include youth leadership, community service/ social action, or building skills, attitudes, knowledge and experiences that prepare youth for the present and future.
