Career Opportunities will bein abundance at one of the region’s largest job fairs. Over 90 employers will be on hand Thursday, October 12, 2006 in Auburn. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Gold Country Fairgrounds, 1273 High Street, in Auburn. It is free to both employers and job seekers.
The job fair is hosted by Business Advantage Network; a coalition of workforce development agencies throughout PlacerCountyproviding job services to both employers and job seekers.All of the network's services to businesses and job seekers are free. The Business Advantage Network sponsors two free job fairs each year.More than 90 businesses and 3,000 job seekers attended the fall job fair in Auburnlast year. This event featured over 1,000 available jobs.
Sponsors of the October 12th Job Fair include Gold Country Media, Placer County Office of Economic Development, and the Auburn Area Chamber of Commerce.
This is an outstanding opportunity for PlacerCountybusinesses to connect with people from throughout the region seeking job opportunities,” Placer County Economic Development Director David Snyder said. “This event gives everyone from students graduating from high school or college, to those people looking for career advancement, an opportunity to see the great jobs available in PlacerCounty.”
This highly successful event draws thousands of skilled job applicants from throughout the region.Participating employers represent a variety of industries including manufacturing, high-tech, healthcare, education, retail, and government.Confirmed companies and government agencies include Caltrans, Sutter Health, TASQ Technologies, City of Roseville, PlacerCountypersonnel, and Thunder Valley Casino.
