As a result of the recent election of Placer County Supervisor Ted Gaines to the California Assembly (4th District), a vacancy will be created in the 4th supervisorial district when he leaves office on December 4, 2006.
Pursuant to the Placer County Charter, the Board of Supervisors will have an opportunity to fill that vacancy on Dec. 19 by appointing a district resident.
Applications to fill that vacancy, the notice of vacancy and a description of the process can be obtained from the Board of Supervisors office located at 175 Fulweiler Avenuein Auburn. To request information by mail, call 530-889-4010. Information can also be obtained online at www.placer.ca.gov.
To be considered, applications must be signed and submitted in hard copy to the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors no later than 5 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 8, 2006. This office is located at 175 Fulweiler Avenue, Auburn, CA95603.
