Kranz Selected Chairman

January 15, 2007

As an early action during their first meeting of the new year, the Placer County Board of Supervisors selected Bruce Kranz, representing District 5, to serve as chairman and Jim Holmes as vice-chairman for 2007.

Two Placer County Planning Commissioners were named.  Retiring Supervisor Bill Santucci will represent District 1, as requested by newly seated Supervisor Rocky Rockholm.  Mike Stafford was reappointed to represent District 4 at the request of Supervisor Kirk Uhler, who was appointed to the Board of Supervisors in December.

Supervisors also appointed themselves and, in some cases, citizens to represent the Board of Supervisors as voting members on a wide variety of committees and commissions.
