Placer County Supervisor Bruce Kranz will host a community forum in Tahoe Cityon Jan. 23, 2007. The forum will highlight the release of the County's methamphetamine awareness program and its locally produced DVD.
In addition to Kranz, Assistant Sheriff Devon Bell and Dr. Richard Burton, Placer County Public Health Officer, will attend. They will speak to the problem of methamphetamine use in the county and efforts to raise awareness of the drug's abuse. The program also offers resources for not only those abusing the drug, but family members and friends who are affected by abuse.
The guest speaker at the forum will be Nina Salarno-Ashford of Crime Victims United.
The forum will be at Jake's on the Lake, 780 North Lake Blvd., TahoeCity, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
