CountyHealth and Human Services will host a “Healthy Women/Healthy Children” Resource Faire on Friday, June 29th, at Regional Park, on Richardson Drivebetween Quartz Driveand Dry Creek Road, in Auburn.
Mothers, their young children, and community partners are all encouraged to attend the event, which will take place from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
At the faire, children will enjoy special fun activities, with free food and gifts available for all. Mothers will also benefit from information available on topics such as pregnancy/medical clinics, family resources, family planning, services for young children, community health programs, mental health services, and alcohol and drug abuse resources. Information will also be available about transit and job services, child abuse and domestic violence prevention and smoking cessation.
SafeKids, U.C. Davis Ready to Succeed, Kaiser Women’s Services, Sutter Auburn Faith Birth Center, First Five, Babies-R-Us, and many Placer Countyagencies dedicated to serving women and their little ones will participate in this fun-filled afternoon.
Baskin Robbins, Mountain Mike’s, Pac N Save, and the Family Resource Centersof Placer will provide free refreshments. A children’s play structure is nearby.
