Placer County Supervisor Robert Weygandthas a new website that will help the public stay informed about county government.     

“A lot is happening in District 2 and throughout the county, and visiting my website is a great way to learn about issues I’m working on and to share with me your concerns and ideas. I encourage my constituents to visit it regularly,” Supervisor Weygandt said.

“My website is a work in progress. We will add to it regularly, and are open to ideas for making it a more effective tool for the people of my district.”

The website’s address is www.placer.ca.gov/Home/bos/district2.aspx.

The public also can get to Supervisor Weygandt’s site by going first to Placer County’s main website at www.placer.ca.gov, clicking on the “Board of Supervisors” icon near the top center of the county home page and clicking on the supervisor’s name when the main board page appears.

The new website includes background information on Supervisor Weygandt, a 12-year board veteran who has lived in Placer Countyfor 45 years. The site also offers advice on ways to contact the supervisor.

The 2^nd District covers much of West Placer, including Lincoln, Sheridan, most of Rocklin and part of western Roseville.

The supervisor’s website features information about two municipal advisory councils that represent communities in the 2^nd District: the Rural Lincoln MAC and Sheridan MAC.

The county’s MACs offer the public regular, informal forums to stay informed about issues that impact unincorporated areas and to have their voices heard on issues that concern them.

Supervisor Weygandt’s website also lists the local and regional government organizations where he serves as a Board of Supervisors representative. 

Another of the supervisor’s web pages lists county advisory bodies that are of interest to 2^nd District residents, including those that serve communities in the district and others that serve the entire county, but have 2^nd District representatives. It identifies which ones have vacancies to assist people interested in applying to serve on advisory bodies.

Also on the website is a page with information on the county’s Placer Legacy Open Space and Agricultural Conservation Program. Supervisor Weygandt was an early proponent of the program and a strong supporter since the board began developing it in 1998.
