Child Support Services Extends Its Business Hours
The Placer County Department of Child Support Services announces the reinstatement of normal business hours. After two years of limited public access, Child Support Services will return to the business hours of Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The increase in business hours commenced Sept. 3, 2007.
The increase in service level will benefit the public’s availability for services in order to meet their child support needs.
“Placer County Department of Child Support Services is dedicated to the delivery of quality child support services, so more children will have the opportunity to succeed," said Troy Held, Child Support Services director. "Reopening our doors full time is a substantial step in maximizing our efforts to increase and ensure timely child support collections.”
This return to normal business hours follows August 2007 being proclaimed “Child Support Awareness Month” by Governor Schwarzenegger and the Placer County Board of Supervisors. Child Support Awareness Month serves as a yearly reminder of the importance that parents make in their children’s lives and that parents must provide the financial support necessary for their children. Child Support Services is proud to serve the community of Placer County and looks forward to the extended business hours.
