Placer County Supervisor Jim Holmes is hosting a meeting where Penryn residents can learn about proposed development projects and traffic mitigation improvements.

The meeting will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 6 p.m. in the Portuguese Hall, 690 Taylor Road, Newcastle.

“It is my intention to provide a community workshop where all Penryn residents can hear from Placer County staff about the several projects currently in the planning stage in the Penryn Community,” said Supervisor Holmes. “It is important for the community to have a voice in future developments and to have a meaningful dialogue with county staff.”

Planning Director Michael Johnson will talk about the Penryn Community Plan and each project that has been proposed, while Assistant Public Works Director Rick Dondro will review the cumulative impact should all projects ultimately be approved.

Residents are encouraged to submit questions ahead of time by sending them to Board of Supervisors Aide Ruth Alves, 175 Fulweiler Avenue, Auburn, CA 95603; or they can be sent by email to ralves@placer.ca.gov.

Some of the proposed projects to be discussed include English Colony Estates, Morgan’s Orchard at Secret Ravine, Penryn Heights, Penryn Mixed Use, Penryn Self Storage and The Orchard at Penryn.
