Placer County is anticipating approximately 50 residential building permit allocations from the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) for the calendar year 2008. The method for distributing these allocations will be a modified lottery system.
To qualify for the TRPA allocation lottery, a building permit application (including appropriate TRPA plans for a TRPA buildable site) must be submitted at the Placer County Building Department, 565 West Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City. Applications will be accepted from Jan. 7, 2008, 8:00 a.m. through Jan. 11, 2008, 4:00 p.m.
If the number of applications exceeds the number of available allocations, a drawing will be held on Jan. 22, 2008 at 11:00 a.m., at the Lakeview Room at the Fairway Community Center, located at 330 Fairway Dr., Tahoe City.
