Foresthill Road Rock Blasting Work Extended

Intermittent traffic control and lane closures on Foresthill Road at Upper Lake Clementine will be extended to April 15, 2008 due to rock blasting work. The initial closure was to have ended on April 4. However, due to a large amount of rock, the blasting will continue.

The three travel lanes at the site and traffic control will include shifting westbound traffic to the eastbound side of the road. Two lanes of traffic (one lane in each direction) will be open. The road will be closed completely for 15 minutes when the actual blasting takes place. In the event of an emergency, the blasting contractor has confirmed that a blasting shot may be delayed to let emergency vehicles through the site.
