The Government Springs Fire and Westville Fire are located in the Tahoe National Forest within Placer County, and are being managed by the U.S. Forest Service (USFS). Smoke is visible from western Placer County to Lake Tahoe. These two fires are part of a series of fires that have been named the American River Complex Wildland Fire.
