Request for Proposals – Community Services Block Grant (CSBG)

The Placer County Community Services Commission is seeking 2010 Proposals that include prevention and/or intervention strategies that address basic needs for individuals and families, such as food, shelter, transportation, and medical care for all ages, genders, and ethnic groups, and for all geographic areas within Placer County, with the primary goal of increasing self-sufficiency.

The proposals should address the priorities established in the 2010-2011 Community Action Plan. Up to a total of $173,000 may be awarded to groups to provide assistance.

Organizations interested in providing such services to Placer County's low-income population may obtain a copy of the Request for Proposals (RFP) by contacting Doreen Drake at 530-886-1851 or ddrake@placer.ca.gov . The RFP information is also posted on the Placer County Adult System of Care web page, www.placer.ca.gov/Departments/hhs/adult.aspx The contract term will be January 1 – December 31, 2010.

A mandatory pre-proposal videoconference will be held on Monday, August 31, 2009 at 1:30 p.m. in the Placer County Department of Health and Human Services Conference Rooms located at 11816 Enterprise Drive, Auburn, CA and 5225 North Lake Blvd, Carnelian Bay, CA. Interested firms will be provided with an overview of the program requirements and an opportunity to submit questions.

All proposals must be received by the Health and Human Services Administration by 5 p.m., Monday, Sept. 28, 2009. The office is located at 379 Nevada Street in Auburn. Proposals submitted by email will not be accepted.
