Substance Abuse Prevention Survey

February 18, 2009
Youth substance abuse is of high concern to parents, community members, and young people themselves. Placer County Health and Human Services Substance Abuse Prevention program has developed a survey to assess community knowledge and attitudes about substance abuse in young people. Survey results will be used to improve prevention efforts.
The eleven-question, anonymous web-based survey asks for opinions, knowledge and parenting feedback. There are no drug use questions.
“As substance abuse is a serious concern of the community, we hope people will view this anonymous web survey as a quick way they can make a positive difference,” said Kara Sutter, Placer County Health Educator. “It takes everyone working together to ensure Placer county is a great place for youth to grow up.”
