WIC Receives Quilt Donation

The Placer County Women, Infants and Children (WIC) program was the recipient of a number of quilts that will be donated to infants and children who are enrolled in the program. The Wednesday Stitchers, a local quilting group, made the donation to WIC and Acres of Hope, a foothills charitable organization that assists women with children. The quilting project, which created 37 quilts, took the Stitchers a little more than a month.

Auburn resident and Wednesday Stitcher, Dorothy Murray, was a long time member of the quilting group and donated all of the fabric used for these quilts. Dorothy passed away before the project was completed but her spirit lives on in these quilts.
