Placer County's counties exhibit took best of show honors plus three other awards at the State Fair.
In addition to best of show, fair judges awarded Placer the Golden Bear, best in technology and gold awards.
“There are many wonderful volunteers dressed in railroad hats and red bandanas at the booth to explain what visitors might find when they come to Placer County," said Jan Decker CEO/executive director of the Placer County Visitors Bureau and Welcome Center in Auburn, which is responsible for the booth.
This year's booth has a railroad theme urging fair visitors "all aboard" for the legacy of limitless adventure the county offers.
The State Fair is open until August 1. |
