The Placer County Redevelopment Agency is looking for interested citizens to volunteer to serve on the Agency’s Loan Committee. The Committee is composed of members representing county government, financing, building, banking or housing. Members of the Loan Committee review housing and commercial loan applications, loan amounts and terms. Loans are funded by Community Development Block Grants, Neighborhood Stabilization funds, and other Federal, State, and County funded grant programs such as housing rehabilitation, first-time homebuyer, and business improvement loans. Some of the goals of the program are to preserve housing stock, revitalize neighborhoods and support business growth and expansion.
The Loan Committee meets monthly on the third Thursday at 10 AM at 3091 County Center Drive, Auburn, CA. Knowledge of real estate, construction, lending, or banking a plus. Members must submit a yearly Conflict of Interest form to the Placer County Elections Division. There is no financial compensation for the position.
