- A vintage sleigh is on display on the first floor in the foyer of Auburn’s Historic Courthouse. The museum is open every day except holidays from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Placer County Museum is located at 101 Maple Street in Auburn.
- The Bernhard Museum is decked out in Victorian Christmas splendor. The Bernhard Museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays (except holidays), 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The museum is located at 291 Auburn-Folsom Road in Auburn.
- The Gold Country Museum is decorated for a Gold Rush Christmas. Journal entries recorded on Christmas day 1849 by real 49ers are on display. The Gold Country Museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays (except holidays), 11:00 am to 4:00 pm. The Gold Country Museum is located inside the Gold Country Fairgrounds at 1273 High Street in Auburn.
December 8th and 15th from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm: Please join us in the historic Courthouse as part of Old Town Country Christmas! You can see the vintage sleigh, browse through the museum, view reproduced Christmas and New Years cards from our collection on the Christmas tree and enjoy some cookies and a hot cup of apple cider. We’ll also have a craft station set up where your children or grandchildren can make a “Letter to Santa Claus” ornament. Everything is free!
