Auburn DMV Office to Close November 28 for Renovations

The California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) is reminding local customers that the Auburn field at 11722 Enterprise Dr., will be closing on Wed., Nov., 28, 2012 at 5 p.m. for renovations. The office will reopen to the public on Mon., Jan., 14, 2013

The office first opened in 1989 and is closing for six weeks to make much needed improvements, which include a larger lobby, and new furniture, paint and flooring.

Auburn DMV staff members will be temporarily reassigned to nearby locations.

Those needing to do business in a DMV office can use one of the nearby field offices. If you need to visit an office, the DMV suggests making an appointment, either by going online or calling DMV customer service at (800) 777-0133. The nearest field offices are in:

  • Rocklin, 5245 South Grove, 13 miles away;
  • Roseville, 222 Harding Boulevard, 16 miles away; and
  • Folsom, 323 E. Bidwell Street, 21 miles away.

Additionally, the DMV encourages the use of its online service. Anyone with an internet connection can access DMV services at any time. Those services include advance appointments for written and drive tests; vehicle registration and driver license renewals, personalized license plates and changes of address. Payment of fees can be done by secure debit transactions.
