Board of Supervisors Decides to Continue Deliberations on Orchard at Penryn

November 06, 2012

After taking public testimony and closing the public hearing, the Placer County Board of Supervisors began its deliberations on the two appeals of the proposed Orchard at Penryn project Tuesday, ultimately deciding to continue the matter to a date to be determined.

Board members provided guidance to staff on potential design changes to the project. Public notice will be provided when the project is scheduled to return to the board for further deliberations and final action.

The Orchard at Penryn project was approved by the Placer County Planning Commission on June 28, 2012. The project proposes 150-unit multi-family residences on a 15-acre site at the west side of Penryn Road just north of Interstate 80. The Town of Loomis and an organization known as the Stop 150 Apartments Group filed separate appeals of that approval and the certification of the project’s final environmental impact report.
