The Town of Truckee in cooperation with the Placer County Stormwater Division will be hosting a stormwater workshop with a focus on providing business owners, contractors, engineers, and local agency staffs information on the New Municipal Permit requirements that may affect their activities. The workshop will be Wed., April 17, 2013 at 10183 Truckee Airport Rd., in Truckee. The new permit starts on July 1, 2013.
The workshop will include information on changes to illicit discharge detection and elimination, local inspection programs, inspection frequencies, construction site runoff-control, and post construction management.
In addition, there will be a “refresher” segment on temporary and permanent erosion control Best Management Practices (BMPs), sediment control BMPs, “good housekeeping” BMPs, and their proper installation and maintenance.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m., with the workshop beginning at 9:00 a.m. and running until 11 a.m.. There is no charge for the workshop.
