PLACER COUNTY CHILD CARE ADVISORY COUNCIL

PURPOSE:

To implement the recommendations contained in the Child Care Master Plan.  Committee to be active until task is complete (Res. 93-401).

COMPOSITION:

Res. 98-126 approving restructure of Committee.  Representation: Board of Supervisors shall appoint ½ of the members in each category and the County Superintendent of Schools shall appoint the other ½ of the members.  Up to 4 members shall be consumers of child care, up to 4 members shall be child care providers, up to 4 members shall be community representatives, up to 4 members shall be public agency representatives and up to 4 members shall be public members, at the discretion of the appointing agencies.  Terms of each member shall be three (3) years and will end on the 30th day of June of the corresponding year of their term.  The Board of Supervisors shall appoint members from solicited applications by the County.

	MEETINGS:

First Tuesday of the following months:  January, March, May, September and November.  The presiding officer, as needed, may schedule additional meetings, including public meetings.

COMPENSATION:

Members shall receive no compensation for their services; however, any member traveling on official

business for the Council shall be reimbursed for his actual and necessary traveling expenses.
