WASTEWATER ADVISORY COMMITTEE

PURPOSE:

To make recommendations to the Environmental Health Director regarding ordinance adoption/revisions,

review methods, techniques and materials for on-site sewage treatment and disposal, and policy issues.

(Res. 92-211) Res. 93-173 adding two (2) at-large members, Res. 2000-239, changing the composition

of membership. Res. 2004-273 renaming the Sewage Disposal Advisory Committee to Wastewater

Advisory Committee.

COMPOSITION:

Composed of thirteen (13) members, one each representing the following: Placer County Architects,

Geologists, Engineers, and Surveyors (P.A.G.E.S.); Academia; Placer County Association of Realtors;

Placer County Facility Services; Septage Pumper; Septic Tank Manufactures' Association; Building

Industry; On-Site Sewage Disposal Consultant; Contractors/Installers' Association; Public-at-Large;

Environmental Consultant; Planning Commissioner or Member of the Board of Supervisors; Manufacturers'

Association (to be appointed by the Board of Supervisors). The term is for two years commencing on

October 1, 2000. Per Res. 2004-273 members in Seats 1, 2, 3, 4, 8, and 13 shall terminate on

10/01/2005 and 2-year terms; members in Seats 5, 6, 7, 9, 10, 11, and 12 shall terminate on 10/01/06

MEETINGS:

The committee shall meet at the call of the chairperson.

COMPENSATION:

Members shall receive no compensation for their services.
