Hear and determine appeal from Code interpretations of Building Inspector. Have the authority to |
|
determine the suitability of, and authorize the substitution of, materials and types of construction |
|
equipment to those specified by this Code and the State Housing Law. Act as advisory body to the Board |
|
of Supervisors on all matters pertaining to the construction industry. Promulgate reasonable rules and |
|
regulations for conducting its hearings and meetings. |
|
Comprises nine (9) members appointed by Board of Supervisors (not officials of County), who are qualified |
|
by experience and training to pass upon matters pertaining to building construction. Two members serve |
|
2 year terms, three members to serve 4 year terms. Ord. 3360-B approving 2 members representing Fire |
|
Officials and physically handicapped, serving 4 year terms. |
|
Varies; scheduled as necessary to hear appeal requests. |
|
Members shall receive no compensation for their services; however, any member traveling on official |
|
business for the Council shall be reimbursed for his actual and necessary traveling expense. |
