Auburn, CA - On April 26, 2011, as part of his commitment to Placer County’s public safety apparatus, District 1 Supervisor Jack Duran spent the day on a ride along with a Sheriff’s Sergeant from the Placer County Sheriffs’ Department. Duran’s day began at the Dewitt Justice Center where he briefly toured the Placer County Sheriff’s main office and transportation department. From there he worked a six hour beat.
“I was deeply honored and proud to ride with one of Placer County’s finest,” Duran said. “I am impressed by the level of commitment to our community, public safety principals and the courageous acts these deputies do daily our behalf.”
Duran serves on the Criminal Justice Policy Committee and has vowed to make protecting public safety a top priority when navigating the county through current tough economic times.
