For Immediate Release
May 17, 2011
Roseville, CA – Placer County District 1 Supervisor Jack Duran today announced plans to host monthly, “Supervisor at your Corner” coffee shop meetings with constituents this summer.
“I believe that open communication is the key to responsive government,” Duran said. “As we work to confront today’s challenges and build a strong future for Placer County, these coffees will give even more people a chance to be a part of the dialogue.”
The informal, Saturday morning meetings will allow District 1 residents to interact directly with Duran, provide feedback on matters before the Board of Supervisors and learn more about county services. With the proposed county budget also expected this summer, the meetings will provide taxpayers not able to attend workshops, Board and committee meetings a forum in which to ask questions and offer feedback.
The monthly coffees will take place from 10 am – 12 pm at the Starbucks at the Corner of Foothills Blvd & Main St/Baseline Rd in Roseville and will occur on the first Saturday of each month: June 4, July 9, and August 6.
