A lot is happening in District 2 and throughout the county. Visiting my website is a great way to learn about issues I’m working on and to share with me your concerns and ideas. I encourage you to visit it regularly.

My commitment remains the same today as it was the first day I took office in 1995: to maximize the value of county services and provide the leadership needed to help guide one of the fastest-growing counties in California.

Right now our county is facing severe financial difficulties as is the nation. I am working with your other supervisors to preserve jobs and services until our economy rebounds. The careful long-range planning that we have followed during recent years is paying off in that, so far, we are not suffering as greatly as many other counties in California. I am determined even in these difficult times not to lose the progress we have made during my 16 years on the Board. I pledge to continue working hard on behalf of my constituents.

I’m privileged to represent District 2 and thankful for the opportunity to make a difference in a county I’m grateful to call home.
