Granite Bay Municipal Advisory Council (MAC)

 ABOUT THE GRANITE BAY MAC

The Granite Bay Municipal Advisory Council is comprised of volunteers, like you, from the community who take on the honor of listening to community concerns and representing those issues to their County Supervisor.

These advisory bodies create a forum for the community to voice their concerns and give formal input on projects and issues facing their local communities. Presently, there are 13 MACS that meet monthly and are comprised of a range from 5 to 7 MAC Members who are appointed by their County Supervisor.

The MAC members work closely with their County Supervisor and magnify the voices of even our most rural communities.  For more information on your MAC or others in the County, please visit the links below or contact the Granite Bay MAC Administrator, Field Representative Linda Brown, at 916-787-8950 / lbrown@placer.ca.gov

ATTEND A GRANITE BAY MAC MEETING

The Granite Bay MAC meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Eureka Union School District Office at 5455 Eureka Road, Granite Bay.  Please be sure to check the calendar for scheduled dates and agendas. To place an item on the agenda or to seek more information regarding the Granite Bay MAC, please contact Field Representative Linda Brown at: (916) 787-8950.

PLACE AN ITEM ON THE AGENDA

The MAC falls under the Brown Act requirements, which require the agenda to be posted for 48 hours prior to the meeting.  As a service to the community and to encourage community participation at the MAC, the Granite Bay MAC strives to release the agenda one week prior to the meeting.  Agenda items should be sent to the MAC Secretary or the District Director by the last Wednesday of the month.

Please include the following information on your written agenda requests: Project name, project address, brief project description, name and contact information of the presenter, choice of Informational-Non Action Item or Action Item and a list of approvals that you are seeking. Requests can be faxed to the Board's District Office at: (916) 787-8959.
