Welcome to the Meadow Vista Municipal Advisory Council

The Meadow Vista MAC is comprised of volunteers, like you, from the community who take on the honor of listening to community concerns and representing those issues to their County Supervisor. 

These advisory bodies create a forum for the community to voice their concerns and give formal input on projects and issues facing their local communities. Presently, there are 14 MACS that meet monthly and are comprised of a range from 5 to 7 MAC Members who are appointed by their County Supervisor and approved by the entire Board of Supervisors.

Meadow Vista MAC Meeting

The Meadow Vista MAC meets on the first Wednesday of each month at the Placer Hills School, Room #2 16801 Placer Hills Road, Meadow Vista.  Please be sure to check the calendar for scheduled dates and agendas. Place an Item on the Agenda

The MAC falls under the Brown Act requirements, which require the agenda to be posted for 72 hours prior to the meeting.  As a service to the community and to encourage community participation at the meeting, the Meadow Vista MAC strives to release the agenda one week prior to the meeting.  Agenda items should be sent to the MAC Secretary or the Field Representative by the last Wednesday of the month. 

Please include the following information on your written agenda requests: Project name, project address, brief project description, name and contact information of the presenter, choice of Informational-Non Action Item or Action Item and a list of approvals that you are seeking. Requests can be faxed to the Board's Office at: (530) 889-4010 or emailed to jmaddux@placer.ca.gov.

The Meadow Vista MAC may advise the Board of Supervisors on matters of concern which relate to the area served by the MAC. The MAC shall advise the Board of Supervisors on matters specifically referred to it by the Board of Supervisors for review and recommendation. The Council shall adopt rules, regulations and procedures as are reasonable and appropriate for its activity, as are specifically approved by the Board of Supervisors. The Council shall also comply with any rules, regulations, and procedures contained in the MAC Manual proscribed and approved by the Board of Supervisors. In absence of procedures to the contrary, the council shall be governed by Robert’s Rules of Order. The Council shall keep all record of its actions in a form prescribed by Placer County.
