First District California State Senator Dave Cox, who represents El Dorado County, isn't anticipating a particularly busy week, giving him the opportunity to listen to concerns of his constituents, including a few around Lake Tahoe today.

Placer County Supervisor and Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board Member Bruce Kranz is sponsoring this particular trip through the North Shore, but the state senator claims to be no stranger.

"I probably go through Tahoe more than most people realize," said Cox.

In an effort "to talk to as many folks as we can on a regular basis," Cox said it's not uncommon for him to come through the Tahoe area during his traverse of the 12-county district he represents, which stretches the eastern side of California from the Oregon border through Mono County.

While Cox will primarily be meeting with local officials and community leaders before wrapping up this trip to Tahoe with an address to the Tahoe City Rotary Club, members of the public will have the chance to talk with the Fair Oaks resident at 9:30 a.m. this morning at Garwoods Grill and Pier in Carnelian Bay.
