Foresthill Forum Municipal Advisory Council (MACs)
Municipal Advisory Councils (MACs) are groups of residents from the local community who advise the Board of Supervisors on concerns. They are open forums where information about land use, transportation and general county information is shared and discussed. Residents can attend these meetings in their own community and talk about issues that are important to them.
The Foresthill Forum advises the Board of Supervisors on matters of concern which relate to the community. The Forum shall advise the Board of Supervisors on matters specifically referred to it by the Board of Supervisors for review and recommendation. Section 1105 of Chapter 30 of the Placer County Code provides for the creation of a Design Review Advisory Committee to review and provide comments to the Planning Department on all applications within Design Control District in the Foresthill area. Through the adoption of the Foresthill General Plan, the Design Review Committee reviews and provides comments to the Planning Department on all applications within Design Control Districts. The Council shall adopt rules, regulations and procedures as are reasonable and appropriate for its activity, as are specifically approved by the Board of Supervisors. The Council shall also comply with any rules, regulations, and procedures contained in the MAC Manual proscribed and approved by the Board of Supervisors. In absence of procedures to the contrary, the council shall be governed by Robert’s Rules of Order. The Council shall keep all record of its actions in a form prescribed by Placer County.
Schedules can change and meetings are occasionally cancelled, so call 530-889-4010 to confirm meeting dates, times and locations.
