To communicate with area residents about the risks associated with living in the wild land urban interface, motivating them to take action to protect their homes and property, and reducing wildfire fuels through coordinated action.

Composed of seven members appointed by the Board of Supervisors. One from each of the four Placer County Volunteer Fire Departments located in the area, one member representing Placer Land Trust and two members appointed at-large. The two at-large members shall both be property owners or own businesses within the GLFSC area.
