Local Agency Formation Commission


To review and approve or deny proposals for the formation, consolidation, or dissolution of cities or special districts; and to review and approve or deny proposals for the annexation to or detachment from cities or special districts. None of these proceedings may be initiated until approved by the Commission to develop and determine the sphere of influence for each local government agency.

Composed of 7 regular members serving 4 year terms. Two members of the Board of Supervisors with one alternate supervisor; two members of City Council with one alternate; and one public member and alternate appointed by other six members, two (2) special districts and one (1) alternate. Second Wednesday of the month at 4:00 p.m. in the Board of Supervisor's Chambers, 175 Fulweiler Avenue, Auburn, CA, or where otherwise posted and advertised.


$100.00 per diem (Ord. 4100-B), payment of reasonable and necessary expenses incurred in attending such meetings and performing the duties of office. Supervisors are not compensated.
