About the Placer Lake Tahoe Film Office

Placer County is located in Northern California, just a quick one-hour flight from Los Angeles. Placer County extends from the North Shore of Lake Tahoe, westward across the Sierra Nevada, through the Mother Lode/Gold Rush region, and into the Central Valley to the doorstep of Sacramento, the State's capital. Interstate 80, which crosses the Sierra and runs through the heart of our county, links two major airports and provides convenient access to any part of the county. That short one-hour flight puts you in the Sacramento International Airport, near the west end of the county, or the Reno/Lake Tahoe airport, near the east end. Three smaller airports within the county - at Auburn, Lincoln, and Truckee - give you further convenient access.
