Tahoe Planning

The Planning Services Division and the Tahoe Regional Planning Agency (TRPA) work together to process permits in the Tahoe Basin based on the provisions of the Memorandum of Understanding between the two agencies. Overseeing the Tahoe Planning operations is Paul Thompson, Assistant Director. The office is located at 775 North Lake Boulevard, Tahoe City, CA 96145 (530-581-6200).

The Placer County Zoning Ordinance applies to all land uses and development within the unincorporated areas of Placer County.

To submit a Site Assessment request, the form is available in both Word 2007 and Adobe PDF.

Tahoe office Planners are unavailable at the public counter on Mondays.
