Intensive Supervision Caseload and High Risk DUI Probation Task Forces: Probation, with the funding from an Office of Traffic Safety Grant, developed an intensive supervision program for the highest risk and/or habitual DUI offenders under its jurisdiction. The mission statement of the Placer County DUI Intensive Supervision Caseload and High Risk DUI Probation Task Forces is to increase supervision of high-risk, repeat offenders by increasing DUI probationers’ compliance with Court orders. In addition, to providing proactive field supervision , enforcement of court orders for specified offenders, and warrant sweeps; probation officers assigned to these caseloads participate with other law enforcement agencies in DUI suppression efforts including sobriety check points countywide.

Deputy Probation Officer Merredith Murdock received the Office of Traffic Safety Award for Traffic Safety Excellence for her DUI-related supervision accomplishments in 2008 and was presented with a plaque, certificate and “23152” pin recognized by Mothers’ against Drunk Drivers (MADD) and the California Office of Traffic Safety for her exemplary participation in supervising DUI offenders. In addition, in November 2009, Officers Eric Guerena and Merredith Murdock received the Distinguished Service Awards from the Placer Law Enforcement Agencies for their work while supervising the DUI caseloads.
